Staff-Parish Relations

The duties of this committee include the following: To confer and counsel with the pastor and staff in making an effective ministry by being available for counsel, keeping the pastor and staff advised concerning conditions with the congregation as they affect relations between the pastor/staff and the people, and continually interpreting to the people the nature and function of the ministry.

Caregiving

This Ministry Team ministers to the needs of people in our church family which includes; visiting members and friends in the hospital, calling on our members and friends in the nursing home or those who are homebound, providing transportation to and from worship services, doctors appointments, etc., making simple or basic home repairs, and sending cards to those in need of a word of support or encouragement.

Education

This Ministry Team coordinates, supports, and evaluates the education program of the Sugar Creek Church. The members of this Ministry Team cooperate with the Superintendent of the Christian Education Hour and the Vacation Bible School Director(s) to provide education opportunities for all age levels.

Finance

All financial askings to be included in the annual budget of the local church shall be submitted to the Committee on Finance. The Committee on Finance shall compile annually a complete budget for the local church and submit it to the Leadership Team for review and adoption. The Committee on Finance shall be charged with the responsibility for developing and implementing plans which will raise sufficient income to meet the budget adopted by the Leadership Team. It shall administer the funds received according to instructions from the Leadership Team.
