Wes Osborn


Pastor Wesley "Wes" Osborn was appointed as directing pastor of Sugar Creek effective August 1st, 2005.  Prior to coming to Sugar Creek, Wes served churches in Metropolis, IL (2001-2005), Mt. Zion, IL (1993-2001), Bethany and Sanner Chapel (1989-1993), Barry and Eldara (1985-1989) and Cropsey and Strawn (1980-1985).

Wes received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL.  He also did undergrad work at Parkland College in Champaign, IL and at Eureka College, Eureka, IL.  While at Eureka College, Wes earned a varsity letter in football.  He calls Paxton, IL home.

Prior to entering the ministry, Wes worked as an industrial mechanic at HumKo Products in Champaign, IL for 13 years.  His duties included welding, pipe-fitting and pump overhauling and installation.  At the time of his call into the ministry, Wes was the assistant machinist.

During Wes' high school years he met Rinda who became his wife after graduation from Paxton Community High school.  They have four daughters;  Dawn Downs and husband Richard live in Southhampton, England;  Theresa Krass and husband Craig live in Hoover, AL (just south of Birmingham); Ja'Net Deason and husband Mitch live in Algonquin, IL; Ra'Net Bye and husband Scott live in Bloomington, IL.  Wes and Rinda have three grandchildren, Robbie (5) and Cameron (3) Crass, and Paige Deason who is two.
