Our Mission:

"To Bring People to Jesus Christ Through Worship, Connection, and Service"

The Mission of the United Methodist Church is "to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world." As the Methodist Church we want to assist believers to experience God's grace, His love, to grow in His grace and to grow in knowledge in disciplined Christian living.

ESSENTIALS of our faith

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ was literally resurrected from the dead. Jesus died on the cross at Calvary, but three days later on Easter morning, He physically and spiritually rose from the dead. Christianity is a resurrection faith.

1 Corinthians 15:20-22  "But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have died. For since Death came through human beings, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a human being; for as all died in Abram, so all will be made alive in Christ."

The Trinity

We believe in One God in three persons; the Father the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Three separate and distinct persons are the One God-Equal in power and glory.

John: 17:21:

"As you, Father, are in my I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me"

John 14:16-17:

"And I will ask the Father, and He will give you and Advocate, to be with you forever. This is the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him, nor knows him. You know him, because he abides with you, and he will be in you."

INSPIRATION of the bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired (meaning "God Breathed") Word of God, given for His people.

2 Timothy 3:16:

"All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching rebuking, correcting, and raining in righteousness.

The virgin Birth

We believe that Jesus's mother, Mary was a virgin at the time of conception, and conceived Christ by the agent of the Holy Spirit at that moment, Christ's body was spoken into existence.

Matthew 1:20-21:

"Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit, she will bear your son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."

Salvation through Christ alone

We believe there is no way for one to enter into eternal life except through the person and work of Jesus Christ. Jesus makes it clear that there is no other plan outside of Himself for one's salvation.

John 14:6:

"Jesus said to him: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

The person Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully human and fully divine (God). Although Christ's humanity has a beginning, His divinity has always existed.

John 1:1:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God"

John 1:14:

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory as the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."

The holy spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is a member of the Godhead; and is eternal, all powerful, ever-present, and all knowing. The Holy Spirit is "God in us"

John 20:21-22:

"Jesus said to them again "peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I sent  you." When he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them " Receive the Holy Spirit."

Connect people with Jesus Christ

We believe we are called to live the Great Commandment. "To love God and love others" and fulfill the Great Commission "to go and make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Matthew 22:37-39:

"{Jesus} said to him "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second like it "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

Matthew 28:18-19:

"Jesus came and said to them "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit..."
