Sugar Creek Church offers
many different small groups throughout the year. Some of these groups are short
term and others are ongoing. A sampling of these groups are listed below.
Meeting dates, times, and locations do change so please check the
weekly announcements in the Sunday Program or call the church office
(217-483-2270) for more information. If a group you are interested in is not
listed here or if you would like to see a group started, please call the church
office.

– Meet on the second Monday of each month at a local restaurant from
6:30-8:30pm

Afternoon Circle - Meet every other month
on the 2nd Thursday at 1pm. Dates: 1/9,3/13,6/12,7/10,9/11,11/13
UMW Unit
- Meet various months, either the 1st or 2nd Thursday at 7pm.
Dates: 2/6, 8/14, 10/9 (plus special events as announced.)
UM Working Women - Meet on the second Monday of the month at
6:30pm
- 8:30pm at
the church.

Sr. High United
Methodist Youth Fellowship – (Grades 9 - 12) Meet twice a month at
the church on Sunday afternoons and other times throughout the year for
special projects, trips, lock-ins, parties, etc.

CrossTrainers –
(Grades 7 - 8) Meet twice a month at the church on Sunday afternoons and
at other times throughout the week. CrossTrainers is about doing...doing
service, missions, scripture, fitness, crafts, drama, and more.

Craft
Group – The
Craft Group meets every Thursday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. to work
on items for the Spring and Fall Bazaars and other special projects.

Dinner
for Eight – There are
dozens of these groups meeting at various times and places throughout the
month for fun, food, and Christian fellowship. Some meet in homes while
others meet in area restaurants. Please call the church office if you are
interested in joining a Dinner for Eight group or if you would like more
information.

Partners
in Prayer – Meet every
Sunday morning before the first worship service to pray for the pastor,
the Sunday school teachers, and everyone who will enter and leave church
that morning. They also take turns throughout the week praying for the
church and its various ministries and leaders.
