welcome Message

Welcome to Sugar Creek United Methodist Church. We hope that you'll take the opportunity to explore all the ministries and opportunities for worship, learning, growth, and service on our site and then we hope you'll join us for one of our three worship services on Sundays.

Our church is apart of the Methodist tradition, we value scriptural teaching, disciple making, gracious hospitality and serving our neighbors. Our mission is to build up followers of Jesus Christ who love and serve God and neighbor through acts of worship, devotion, compassion and service.

We are glad you are here and we hope to see you soon!

What can I expect when I first visit Sugar Creek?

  • Expect to be warmly welcomed
  • Expect to see people enjoying being together, laughing and talking
  • Expect to be in a place where you can worship, where you are comfortable and familiar, whether in a traditional or contemporary way
  • Expect to see your neighbors
  • Expect to hear the Word of God
  • Expect to feel a worshipful atmosphere
  • Expect to feel at home

What about my children during worship?

  • We invite your children to join with us during the worship times. We offer Children's Time during the 11:00 a.m Contemporary Service. A nursery is provided for infants through 3 years of age.

Do you have Sunday School classes for my children and myself?

  • Certainly! At 9:45 a.m. each Sunday, we have Adventure Highway 66 for kids from 3 years of age to 6th grade, youth classes for both Jr. High and high school students, as well as adult classes. You and your child will be welcomed in these classes.

How should I dress for church?

  • Be comfortable, be yourself! You will find some people dressed in their "Sunday best," with suits and ties, and others in jeans and tees. We care about the heart, not what you wear!

What about Fellowship?

  • Getting to know one another, laughing, talking, caring for each other - these are priorities at Sugar Creek! Each Sunday morning, we invite you to join us for our Fellowship time "Cookies, Coffee and Conversation" held in the Fellowship Hall. There we have light refreshments, coffee and juice. We spend a few minutes visiting and getting connected.  This is a great place to meet Sugar Creek folk and begin getting connected yourself.
