Born and raised in Georgetown, Kentucky, Nathaniel made his way to Illinois when he started college in the fall of 1998 at Millikin University in Decatur, IL. While at Millikin, Nathaniel was an active volunteer in the youth ministry and contemporary music at the church he attended. After graduating in 2002 from Millikin with his B.M. in Commercial Music, Nathaniel began working part-time at 91.7 WBGL Christian Radio as the Morning Show Man on the Street.
In Fall of 2002 Nathaniel began work on a M.A. in Higher Education Administration at Illinois State University. It was during this time that Nathaniel felt that call to full time ministry.
Since December 2002, Nathaniel has been on staff at Sugar Creek as the Director of Youth Ministries and Contemporary Music. Nathaniel can still be heard periodically on 91.7 WBGL, and still maintains an active music ministry outside the church as a singer/songwriter, performing at coffee houses, colleges, youth retreats, and churches.
